The physicians and staff of Adult Pediatric Urology & Urogynecology are taking the Coronavirus Pandemic (COVID-19) seriously. Nothing is more important than the health and safety of our patients, their families, and our staff. For the last few weeks, we have been monitoring the situation here locally and nationally. We have carefully reviewed the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Nebraska and Iowa Departments of Health recommendations regarding the outbreak and are taking the following steps to ensure the health and safety of every person we care for. We are actively screening each patient who comes through our doors with a questionnaire for risks of the COVID-19 virus. Those who may potentially be at risk will be screened further with a temperature check. If someone is exhibiting symptoms suggestive of the COVID-19 virus, he or she will be directed to the appropriate medical facilities for further testing and screening. We do ask that if you feel you have been exposed or have symptoms to stay at home and self-quarantine as directed by the CDC. Urgent urologic needs will be addressed regardless. We have also increased the frequency and intensity of cleaning of our facilities. Finally, we are taking measures to ensure social distancing within our spacious waiting rooms. We understand the anxiety and concern each person has regarding this outbreak. We want to reassure everyone that we have no plans to close our facilities or reduce accessibility to our services at this time. We are continually monitoring the situation and staying abreast of the updates published by federal, state, and local authorities.
